Fable retold: The Bird Woman

A magical warlock and a mystical fairy sat together on a warm summer's day, arguing about whether or not they could possibly change the behavior of a creature.

The warlock said, "Of course I can change it!"

The fairy replied, "No way. It\'s not possible."

To prove his point, the warlock looked over and saw a bird. He polymorphed it into a woman, and found her a husband. That day, they had their wedding.

"Look, she behaves just like a woman! You were wrong, fairy," the warlock said to his friend.

"Ah, but watch this," the fairy said as she tossed a cat into the wedding. The woman began squawking and running away from the cat, much like a bird would. "You see, warlock, you cannot change the behavior of a being, no matter what it looks like."
